No, I didn't test that, and this effect should be done by using a background pixmap with a transparent background plus a hilight colour for the active item (no idea if that is possible). In any case, the previous behavoiur was wrong in all cases. If a background pixmap is specified for a menu item, it's origin is the top left corner of the menu item, not the top left corner of the menu.
