Are you sure you're not thinking of TitleWarp here?
If you really do mean WarpTitle in the above sentence, then perhaps you
could explain to me what you meant when you wrote:
The original behaviour I am assuming the querent is witnessing might
be gotten around by the use of "WarpTitle" to the list of menu
commands?
This is from <http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=387554#23>.
Also, I would like to note that the example at the very end of the
FvwmWindowMenu man page seems to be using WarpTitle on a root menu.
Having WarpTitle functionality on root menus is useful, because often
one will want to pop up a menu by clicking on a mouse button, then
traverse the menu using keystrokes. For example, in my .fvwm/config file,
I have Button 1 call up a menu in which the last entry is
"quit X" Quit
Then I can drop out of X by clicking button 1 in the root window and then
hitting up-arrow followed by Return. This action tends to become automatic,
which would lead to problems without WarpTitle on the menu. Without
WarpTitle, if I clicked the mouse button too low on the screen, then I'd
need some other sequence of keystrokes to select that menu entry.
