Which is what I intend to spend tomorrow (today) trying out -- although on first glance the Perl code is horrible, but I can fix that up as I go. It also looks as though the module it uses are currently all part of core (and will have been since Perl 5.8.X -- so there ought not be any need for any extra dependencies.)
