The 2.5.14 NEWS break the web page due to % characters in the NEWS. I've made a fix to news2php for this, and also an enhancement to improve the listing of hang indented rows in the NEWS.
The patch got quite big unpavked due to the entire index.php being regenerated, and more or less reconstructed by the patch. Thus my first try to send this message stalled. I tried again with a compressed patch, but this time the body of the message were too close to that of the stalled message. This is my third and last try, in which I've completely rewritten the body. Sorry if I've caused any trouble for those who monitor staled messages, but I belive that a broken webpage after a new release is a serious thing. Part of the reason why I resend this a third time is that the patch in the earlier tries had my email wrong in the ChangeLog. /Viktor Griph
