Hm, I was thinking about releasing 2.5.17 in the next couple of days, once we have tested the changes in the positional parameter expansion code. Obviously the new code gets in the way. I suggest we * remove the patch for now (note that I reformatted the manpage), * test the positional parameter code thoroughly, * release 2.5.17 * re-apply the patch (or its successor patch).
