I understand the situation, but maybe you could provide some .tgz with all the forum posts? it could be used as an archive for offline searchs.
It's just a matter of dumping the forum database without private information such as passwords, emails and private messages. Some kind of forum backup made public. One problem with GitHub is that is very picky about javascript versions, it expects you to use a recent Google Chrome or something similar.
