This has nothing to do with FVWM, alas, and it illustrates a more
serious problem with your MTA configuration -- although I can't say
what as you haven't told us which MTA you're using, and whether you
have checked *its* logs.  Indeed, you can get Xlassie to be more
verbose on output if you so wish, too.

Ultimately though -- this has nothing to do with FVWM.
