When you put things in ~/.Xdefaults doesn't xrdb still do the loading?


I used to use .Xdefaults, but I found that it got out of control
because it was too big.

Now I have this in my .xinitrc:

  cat $HOME/xdef/*.ad | xrdb -load

And I have a bunch of X.ad files in ~/xdef.
