First of all, what is your "system tray area"? Is it another application? Is it a specific screen area? > Style "Notification Area" NoTitle, WindowListSkip, CirculateSkip, > StaysOnBottom, !Handles, !Borders, CaptureHonorsStartsOnPage, > RecaptureHonorsStartsOnPage, StartsOnPageIncludesTransients, StartsOnPage 600 > 440, CascadePlacement Well, aren't you using CascadePlacement to place your window? That tells Fvwm to place in cascade any window matching the string "Notification Area". So it definitelly doesn't enforce a fixed position. Can you be more specific about what you want to do?
