FvwmProxy essentially supersets FvwmPartition, so further development went solely into FvwmProxy. Is XMonad tiling only, I mean like tiling required? Wasn't there something a while back, 'ion' I think it was? Everything tiled, all the time, seemed unrealistic. Some applications don want to be tiled and some windows are best left at a specific size. I felt it was better to fit the new navigation to the world than to fit the world to the new navigation. Anyhow, FvwmProxy won't create your layout, but if you stick them together, it will keep them stuck. If you have an idea on how proxy windows could be extended to better fit an efficient workflow, I'm ready to listen. -- Jason Weber
