Under Linux I have key bindings set up that call this Python script installed in /usr/local/bin: https://gitlab.com/wavexx/acpilight/blob/06fcb7452e8b79107860425af4aecc1dac9e06b1/xbacklight The relevant files in /sys are owned by the 'video' group.
