Hi there! I just wanted to let you know that Object Filler 1.4 is now released and available for downloading here:
http://www.digitalmigrations.com/utils.htm Name: ofiller_1.4.zip Size: 229,206 MD5: 382CC1DE3E04DA85E1D08A43A3952F97 For those of you that don't know it yet, Object Filler is a tool that using dbedit allows to import configuration files from other brands of firewalls, as well as from object lists on simple text format, so for example an admin can keep record of the objects on a spreadsheet, or have a list of all PCs on the /etc/hosts file, and then import it to SmartCenter easily. Please refer to documentation on ReadMe.txt and FAQ_and_Tips.txt files, included on the distribution file, for more information. New features to 1.4: - Support to interactive mode - Enhanced support to duplicates (now it takes in account the object type, not only the IP address). - IP ranges support when creating objects and when importing from CSV files. - Support to import objects from Gauntlet files. - Support to comments when importing from CSV files and List files. - Support to groups when importing from CSV files. - Gives a summary of how many objects of each known type were processed. - Object Dumper was created. The most interesting thing on this version (I think) it's the release of the companion tool Object Dumper. This is a tool (pattern based) that allows to export the Objects_5_0.C to a text comma sepparated (CSV) file which can be open using any spreadsheet program able to recognize CSV files (like Microsoft Excel). This file containst almost all properties of objects (name, type, IP, NAT, comments, ..-) and can be modified and imported back to a SmartCenter using Object Filler if desired. Please be aware that these tools are not official from Check Point, nor supported. Any feedback/suggestion/comment/bug report regarding the tool or the documentation are always welcome, but please read the included documentation before asking! ;-) Hope it can be useful for you - enjoy! :-) - Martn. ================================================= To set vacation, Out-Of-Office, or away messages, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] in the BODY of the email add: set fw-1-mailinglist nomail ================================================= To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================= If you have any questions on how to change your subscription options, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] =================================================
