We have used various Linksys devices fine, although some of the older ones (pre-existing at an employee's home) required flash updates. The 2Wire HomePortal works very well also. We never could get the D-Link 614+ working but the 714 worked out of the box.
We use the SecureClient packaging tool to force the clients to use UDP Encapsulation and IKE over TCP. We also use Office Mode. We have never had a NAT issue even with multiple connections behind the same router and Office Mode completely fixes the problem where the employee's home network has the same IP range as your internal network.
