I have to use both. If you use Simplified only, then the Secure
Configuration Verification stuff applies to all policies on all firewalls.
We have some remote users on one firewall that are contractors and do not
need SCV, so that policy uses traditional. Our main one, where SCV aplies to
everyone, uses simplified. They are all managed from one management station.

Subject: [FW-1] VPN - Traditional v. Simplified Mode
Date: Wed, 17 Mar 2004 08:22:48 +0100

Hi,

I'm just wondering what is used in the majority? Traditional or Simplified
VPN? Do people convert
from traditional mode into simplified mode?

I went through some part of the new VPN-1 documentation and 90% is just
about Simplified VPN, so
Check Point drives us to use it. But what does the majority of us do?
