A few weeks back, I wrote about problems with some users connecting to our Web sites following an upgrade to R55. We've since been able to narrow the problem down to the "Web Server" checkbox in the Network Object definition of our Web server.
With 100% correlation, we can uncheck this box and install the policies and clients previously experiencing slow or incomplete page loads can access our multiple Web servers with no difficulty. Rechecking the box again brings back the problem. So... What exactly does that checkbox activate? The various manuals have been only marginally helpful in determining this. It seems to imply that this activates SmartDefense functionality, but we went through and disabled anything to do with HTTP in SmartDefense and the problem still occurred. Most importantly, however, why aren't these events appearing anywhere in the Firewall logs?
