Because it's a slow Friday, I'm actually going to respond to this. From
the Release Notes:

>>
Supported Applications
The Nokia IPSO 3.8 operating system supports the following applications
on
Nokia IP appliances. The features and operation of the available
applications
are described in separate documents.
?? Check Point Next Generation with Application Intelligence (R55) for
IPSO 3.8.
>>

Release Notes are good. Really they are. Read them. Understand them.
Then run supported combinations of software. Like 3.7.1-b013 and R55W.
Or 3.8 and R55-for-3.8 (which is NOT your regular R55).

And while I'm lauding Release Notes, also read up on what IP Clustering
does for you. If you have more VPN traffic than one box can handle, then
IP Clustering may be just the ticket, and the added complexity and TCO
is worth it. If it's just a case of "so the other machine doesn't just
sit there", then you need to think about complexity vs. cost, TCO, and
business case.

Yours
Thorsten
