After sending this to the list yesterday I called AT&T in the off-chance
they had actually seen this issue. It turns out they had. Evidently the
AT&T Wireless Connection Manager has its own built-in VPN client, which is
causing problems with the SecureClient. It's a known issue that they are
working on.

As a workaround they had me download the Connection Manager from Sony
Ericsson, which has no VPN client integrated into it, and I have had no
issues with it and SecureClient since installing it.

I just wanted to pass this information along in case any of you bumped into
this problem.

Thanks.

Subject: [FW-1] Using SecureClient NG R-55 with AT&T Wireless Connection
Manager .

Has anyone tried using these two apps together? I previously had the
SecureClient installed on my laptop (Windows XP Pro w/SP1), and configured
to connect to a Site. I then installed the AT&T Wireless Connection Manager
to do some testing of AT&T's wireless service. As soon as I launch the AT&T
Wireless Connection Manager the SecureClient icon in my tray disappears, and
I have to reboot to get it back. After the reboot, if I right-click on the
tray icon to bring up the menu, I get nothing, which renders it pretty much
useless.

I have tried several different installation methods for both pieces of
software, and so far I get the same result each time.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.
