I haven't worked with SPLAT, but I seem some people are suggesting that the platform really isn't very well hardened.
I can add the same comment for the Linux distro on the ASF directors - from examining the configuration, I'm rather disappointed. It's somewhat stripped down, but certainly not what you'd call hardened. -----Original Message----- From: Mailing list for discussion of Firewall-1 [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Keshav Anand Sent: February 9, 2005 22:50 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [FW-1] Platform Recommendation? Alteon Switch Firewall from Nortel Networks (http://www.nortelnetworks.com) also would suffice your requirement. Check out ASF 5109 that comes with 4 10/100 interfaces and 2 10/100/1000 interfaces The appliance comes pre loaded with checkpoint latest software ________________________________ From: Mailing list for discussion of Firewall-1 on behalf of Shane Presley Sent: Thu 2/10/2005 10:12 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [FW-1] Platform Recommendation?
