It depends.

When using SecurePlatform, recovery is done within 15 minutes.
This is why we chose it.

Unfortunately SecPlat doesn't provide a wide range of tools
out of the box that you might need on your mgmt....

Windows, Linux and Solaris have advantages, too.
Properly configured they are pretty much secure all together
and you can install a variety of tools etc.

Maybe you should choose the platform that most of your
admins are familiar with.
This helps you to keep the system up to date and stable.
