The "snapshot" command will automatically issue a "cpstop" command. The 
"upgrade_export" can be run with the services up and running, although there 
might be problems. Most of the times I did such a thing it worked perfectly 
without stopping the services, although there were one or two times in total 
where I had to issue a "cpstop" command.
