My comment would be "say what?" NGX is only a few months old and I would
expect it to integrate better, not worse. SmartLSM is supposed to be able to
handle this exact situation, although I've only messed with it on a small
test implementation.
You can pull policy from SmartCenter, you can upgrade the Edge firmware,
etc. I'd ask him for specific examples of issues they have had.
You should make sure you're on the current firmware. Check Point released
v5.0.92 within the last day or so. There were several Edge management issues
that have been resolved with various HFAs to SmartCenter as well. I think
it's a very stable system now.

I have 130 branch offices which I want to deploy a HA firewall / vpn
gateway, centrally managed
from the main site. My reseller told me that he has no good experiences
with such large scale
implementations - the boxes won't integrate well into the existing NGX
environment here. Can
anybody tell anything regarding this?
I already tested ISS Proventia boxes, management is crap here, CP is much
better.
