If it's new hardware, I would imagine you could use the upgrade_export
utility. I've never used it to go between versions but I would think that
should work. Are the operating systems basically the same (Windows-Windows,
Solaris-Solaris, etc.)?
I just did it to move to a new R55 server and it went perfectly. During the
initial install of the Check Point software, just choose the option to use
an exported configuration.
upgrade_export.exe creates a .tgz file of everything you need. Just make
sure the new computer has the same IP address and computer name.

for R55
http://www.checkpoint.com/techsupport/ngx/utilities.html for NGX.

Sorry for the delay in responding...
I mean migrate as in the new NGX box is replacing the old NG R55 box.
Thanks,
Duncan

Define "migrate" please. Do you mean "merge an existing certificate
authority into an existing one" or do you really mean "migrate" as in
the NGX box is replacing the R55 box?
