If I recall, you can do a manual installation of any OS with SmartStart.
For SPLAT, you should choose that, and then configure your RAID, assuming
you have one.

You will need the SPALT R55 that comes with HFA12 (at least) embedded.
Any CD version lower than R55 failed to boot the system on my DL380.
