Hi Bruce,
Yes, we gave that a try and it still does not work.

Just a guess, but try enabling local caching in your Connectra settings.
I had a problem with this for Microsoft apps on a test system recently.
I realize you probably don't allow that for security reasons, especially
if you have unprotected external users, or public kiosk access to that
box, etc, but that's sometimes the issue with applications trying to
open local cached copies instead of the remote file. If that fixes the
issue, you at least know the root cause, and you can work with CP on how
to mitigate that problem and allow a more secure setting in your config
again. Worth a try just for testing anyway.

Subject: [FW-1] Connectra - File Share

Hello All,
I am having a problem opening Word & Excel files from a Connectra File
Share session. I setup a File Share and have no problems browsing the
directory. I can also open .txt, jpg and pdf files without any problems.
But when I try to open a word or excel file, I get an error:

"Could not open 'path to file'"

And then:

"The document name or path is not valid"

I try to open directly from word or excel and get the same error.

We are using LDAP so we log in with our Active Directory user names. I
have full control over these files. I am also using Office 2003 locally
and the files are on a Windows 2000 file server.

The Connectra is setup on the DMZ and is running NGX. There is nothing
in the Connectra log either.

Any ideas would be great. thanks!
