Hi I have an NGX R62 Firewall (recently upgraded from R60 HFA02 which had been stable for well over a year) on W2K3.
Two weeks after the upgrade inbound e-mail just stopped coming in, nothing else seemed to be wrong for a while until I started looking at the Remote Access groups we very rarely use for SecureRemote (we use a different RA system now) - if I tried to remove anyone I got the following error: Failed to save object SecureRemote Admins - The referenced object at field 'groups' is invalid reference (Code 0x800415B1, Object. SMTP traffic was being rejected with TCP packet out of state: First packet isn't SYN If I tried to save a version of the database before installing a policy I got a 'Failed to create a version' message, bur policies would install without it. I then see that the Certificate Authority is down and I am getting the following message in the event log: 'cpWatchdog process FWD exited with exit_code 128. I tried to restore a previous version of the database - it would verify but on the restore would fail due to verification. Everything else I tried to fix the issue failed, so I restored from backup and all was well. It's just done it again with no warning, I realised it was down again because a rare Remote Access user rang to say he got kicked out and could not re-authenticate. Does anyone have any suggestions about what to look for in solving this problem?
