Hello Reinoud and Group,

I am facing the same problem that you, I got the message "rulebases.fws wasn't found". I would like to know, how did you use the "source" option inside the script to get it work.

Thanks a lot,

Subject: [FW-1] Difference between upgrade_export en backup

Hi All,

Normally I always use upgrade_export to backup my configurations etc etc
and also use this when to upgrade. Making a cronjob to do it automatically
is more of a problem i noticed.
For example i got the message that rulebases.fws wasn't found.
Checking out $FWDIR/conf (/opt/CPsuite-R60/fw1/conf) (R60 on secure
platform) i only noticed rulebases_5_0.fws rulebases_5_0.fws.backup.
So seemingly the upgrade_export is making some temporary files and deletes them afterwards. Hmm, i noticed that it is more easy to schedule the backup
command.
However, i do not know the difference between backup and upgrade_export.
Upgrade_export gives me the complete sec policy, certificates en sic's,
meaning it's easy to reinstall a management server with this command. :-)
What does backup do exactly? Does it do more or less than upgrade_export?
Regards,

Reinoud.
