Hello Gurus, when setting up administrators to manage FW-1 you can choose "OS Password" as an authentication method. When using local authentication via /etc/passwd & /etc/shadow it works fine but when trying to authenticate via a LDAP server the fwm daemon crashes. configuration in nsswitch.conf:
passwd: compat passwd_compat: files ldap the OS login itself works fine. Any idea how to authenticate administrators via LDAP (I just need the authentication, not the permissions profile)? The smartcenter runs on SUN SPARC Solaris 10 Thanks in advance Regards Burkhard Trinder ================================================= To set vacation, Out-Of-Office, or away messages, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] in the BODY of the email add: set fw-1-mailinglist nomail ================================================= To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================= If you have any questions on how to change your subscription options, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] =================================================
