I would advise against it.

Technically speaking, R70 (and previous versions) is officially supported on
RHEL 5.0 / 2.6.18 and since CentOS is based on RHEL, it would probably work
with a few tweaks

But good luck getting support from Check Point when you'll need to escalate
an issue.
