To add to Reinhard's answer... it basically works establishing an SSL connection first and then encapsulating an IPSec, so it does not have the regular limitations of other vendor's SSL solutions (only web-able apps) and allows to work with a thin client (not something you have to install on a laptop, per laptop basis) and have all the advantages of a regular IPSec clients (client/server apps, for example).
