I had the same problem by moving from win nt to solaris.

On solaris you have to convert the file with the dos2unix utility, because on unix txt-files only have a cr at the end of each line and not cr+lf like dos.

When I try to run fw confmerge to convert my 4.1 objects.C to NG/fp2 , I get syntax error i.e Line 3: Error Bad Format at name.  My situation is that I used to have fw 4.1 running on NT 4.0 and now move to secure platform with FP2 release.  Any help will be highly appreciate.
