Hello Steffen, Solaris 9 is listed in the supported platforms for FP3 in 64 bit mode for the UltraSparc. See the release notes. I've been playing with installation on two Netra T-1's with 9 on them. Don't have them on line yet, but it seems rock solid. Installation and config was a breeze. A number of extra startup services you need to disable in the OS that don't seem to be well documented anywhere yet. All else being equal, I would highly recommend the latest and greatest Solaris. Let me know if you go that route, I can provide you with some notes. As far as Solaris vs. Windows: Don't get me started. I'm a Unix snob. ;)
