can anyone clarify this for me....

If you use the list that carric was talking about...i.e. for .exe's you use
application/octet-stream this also bars other files without .exe extension
for example .doc ? can anyone tell me if this is actually true ?
What application type is a .doc or a .xls (I had a feeling that it is
application/octet-stream but I could be wrong).
