Title: RE: [FW1] RealSecure Question

Is there much configuration on it?  I've set up FW-1,
but I've never seen RealSecure.  I suppose I feel a bit UNSECURE (grin)
about installing a product for a client when I've never even seen the
product.  Forgive me if I'm beating a dead horse.

I'm not sure the client fully understands the product, and so I'm trying
to get a grip on it before I chat with him in about two hours.  Can you use
it as a standalone firewall solution?  Or does it essentially just serve
as an intrusion detection package?

I believe the way his network is setup, they have the one firewall, and he wants
to now create a DMZ as well.

Thanks again,

Steven

The setup is not involved at all. pkgadd on unix, .exe on NT.
I've done both...The NT network engine will require a reboot, while the
Unix network engine and NT system agents will not.  It doesn't
matter what type of firewall you are using.  Real Secure looks at IP
packets. -BK
