One thing to keep in mind, When Linux updates their kernel they use the odd
numbers as beta and even numbers as full .. i.e. your 2.2.13 would be a beta
for 2.2.14, you might want to consider going back to 2.2.12 or getting
2.2.14.

Subject: [FW1] Strange behaviour with Linux and FW-1

Hi there,

I have FW-1 on Linux (SuSE 6.3, Kernel 2.2.13 smp) and it runs more or the
less stable except for:

When FW-1 ist stoped "fwstop" and I try to do a ping like...

# ping 193.155.143.89
PING 193.155.143.89 (193.155.143.89): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 193.155.143.89: icmp_seq=0 ttl=127 time=4.524 ms

... this is all I get. Normaly there should be more lines coming up.
But thats all I get even when I wait for some time.

So after typing "ctrl-c" I get...

--- 193.155.143.89 ping statistics ---
1 packets transmitted, 1 packets received, 0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max = 4.524/4.524/4.524 ms

This does not happen when I boot the FW at the first time and BEFORE
starting "fwstart".

Any Ideas?

Thanx,

Marco
