mmm yeah - I'd agree with that. As I've said before in countless emails on
here, the Sun hardware is supremely good at dealing with high bandwidth
situations. What I meant (and should have stressed, my bad) was that in any
vanilla firewall install situation NT/Sun/Nokia/Linux etc will do just fine.
When you're talking about big big bandwidth, then you're looking for a
tailored solution anyway. I don't know too much about Raptor, but FW-1 runs
just fine on NT, suitably patched etc. I haven't had any major problems with
FW-1 on NT, other than my incessant desire to type "ls" all the damn time.
But then, that just can't be helped. =)
