If you want to look at your own files, do the following: 1) copy $FWDIR/conf/objects.c and rename to objects.fws 2) copy $FWDIR/conf/rulebases.fws and rename to rules.fws 3) place these in your GUI program directory (eg: c:\program files\checkpoint\gui\program) 4) log in locally as described above. You can also copy fwauth.NDB* to (a file that I forget the name of).fws to copy over the user database. Hope this helps, Regards, Tom Rowan Principal Engineer Allasso Ltd. The point is to allow people to play around with the gui and a rulebase without affecting the actual firewall. Useful for showing newbees the concepts. I think the trick was to connect with some special user name, however I can't recollect what the user name was! Does anyone know? Thanks, :) Bjrnar ============================================================================ ==== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ============================================================================ ==== Allasso Theale House Brunel Road Theale, Reading RG7 4AQ +44 (0) 118 9711511 [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.allasso.com DISCLAIMER Any opinions expressed in this email are those of the individual and not necessarily the Company.
