Has any else had a problem when using the HTTP security security with
trying to access web sites which have the IP address in the url?
Something like:
http://1.2.3.4/
I noticed that some sites work, and some sites don't. When it doesn't
work the firewall is denying the connection. Also nothing is logged
either.
I do have a specific site that someone needs to access some streaming
video from the Michigan House of Representatives (watch it sometime when
you have insomnia), but when I click on the link I receive the error
"FW-1 at <hostname>: Access denied.". This link is taking you to
another port, but I've found that I can take some web sites and replace
the domain name with an IP address and the security server won't pass
it.
The site I'm trying to access right now is
http://www.house.state.mi.us/htv.html and just click the "Watch" or
"Listen" links. The web browser is using the firewall as it's proxy
server.
Thanks
Ron
