Rick,

I'm not clear on your setup or situation. Are you looking at
bandwidth allocation/mgt(QOS stuffage), load balancing,
availability, etc.?

Assume availability:
This is usually handled by the router(or the admininstrator who
set's it up.) When you have >1 lines, you will most likely use BGP
to determine precedence.

I'm assuming that your fw's are hanging off a hub/switch, which
the router(s) are also hanging off of. If so, then the fw's don't
care - they see them as one.

Now you could setup your environment in such a way that the fw's
could make these decisions, but that only complicates your
environment and makes your fw systems do 'other' work they probably
shouldn't be doing.

The router is also a good place for the other stuff. I've not used it,
but I think Floodgate does some of the stuff your looking at.
