hi,
we've to upgrade a FW-1 4.0 SP6 management station to 4.1 with
4.0 backward compatibility. Has anyone done this successfully on
Solaris?
I'm a little bit concerned if the installation procedure will
keep 4.0 intact cause the 4.0 stuff on the CP2000 cdrom (SP5)
is older than the existing installation (SP6). Does the
4.1 installation procedure overwrites the existing 4.0 SP6
with the older SP5 on the CP2000 cdrom unconditionally? What
about merging $FWDIR/conf/objects.C? From my experiences CP shell
scripts are not very fault tolerant nor do they care very much about
prerequisites.
