Morning all ...

Well, just installed the newest one that I currenty have
available, which is v4.0, on our Management station (solaris 8, sparc
20) ... install went beautiful, it loads up our saved v3.x policy file and
objects, etc ... ready for next step ... get firewall to talk to
management ...

As a basic, I want to get logging to work, since we rarely change
our policy, so I make sure that I 'fw putkey' on both ends, making sure
that I'm typing it all in correctly. do an 'fwstop;fwstart' on both ends,
just to make sure everything is loaded in right ...

        firewall tells me:

fwd: Log Server 131.162.138.58 went down
fwd: Log Server 131.162.138.58 went down
fwd: Log Server 131.162.138.58 went down
fwd: Log Server 131.162.138.58 went down

        on fwstart, it tells me:

FW-1: Fetching Security Policy from 131.162.138.58 localhost
Trying to fetch Security Policy from 131.162.138.58:
ReadBuf: calloc(1, 828793400) failed: Resource temporarily unavailable
Fetching Security Policy from 131.162.138.58 failed
Trying to fetch Security Policy from localhost:

first off, does anyone know of a site or doc that is good for
troubleshooting this, other then this mailing list? I've tried to scan
through the index(es) of the manuals that come with it, and that's about
as useless as ... well, you know ... and their web site is no better ...

second ... assuming that I didn't just do this whole thing
backwards (upgrading management before firewall) ... any thoughts on what
I *did* miss? :(

Thanks ...
