Hey All,
I've got an interesting situation... at least to me.
My NT engineers have installed a monitoring application that runs on a
central server which is located with my corporate network.
Each server that is monitored has a special client installed to do
reporting. The server talks to the clients on port 51515 and the
clients talk back to the server on a random port. According to the software
manufacturer, it will first try port 3090 and if it fails,
it will try an unspecified random port.
My quandry comes in when they need to have the clients installed on machines
within my DMZ. The management server has
no problems talking to the clients on 51515 but the clients cannot talk
back. I have tried opening a hole from the specific machines
within the dmz back to the management console on 3090, but I still am unable
to accomplish the updates. Does anyone have
any suggestions? If you need more information, please feel free to email
me. Thanks in advance.
