It's not that it's linked to notepad or anything, it's that if you create it
in notepad, it'll get saved as local.arp.txt, and unless you have it show
you full filenames for all files, instead of not for known file types, you
won't see it.
I've been bitten by this one, since being a UNIX person, I kind of expect my
OS to do what I tell it, not whatever it thinks is better...
