I've successfully created a directory under /opt/maintenance and put
in a shell script doing some logswitch-stuff. Rebooting doesn't
affect these (IPSO 3.1.4 and also 3.2).
Nokia's installed ftp tool knows about .netrc, which could contain
any macros, see 'man ftp'.
