Akamai Technologies (www.akamai.com)

They are the folks who do the web content, streaming
media and applications  delivery. You contract with
them and they place your web content on multiple
systems all over the place. Then when you request
something from one of their customers pages they
figure out where you are and deliver the content
from their nearest system.

This is why you see so much from them.
