Tim

Glad it worked.

If I remember correctly we were told by our reseller when we first implemented
SR that it would not work properly if fixed addresses were used that were in the
encryption domain.
This hasn't been a problem for us as we run DHCP, but it might be worth checking
with your reseller to see if they come up with the same story, although it
sounds like disabling the card in a profile could be the only option.

Cheers

Mike

Your IP release fix worked a treat and cured our "not authenticating"
problem caused by SR thinking we were already on the internal network due
to the DHCP'd IP addr on the PCMCIA card - thanks very much.

Just another question - if your PCMCIA card has a fixed IP address would
this cause a similar problem and if so what is the fix for this ?

(The reason I am wondering is that I have seen problems with straight RAS
(not SR) in the past and had to disable my PCMCIA card in the undocked
hardware profile)

TIA
