Hello all --

I have been reading the manuals as thoroughly as I know how, and am
still trying to understand transparent proxy support under Checkpoint
4.1 (if any exists at all).

URI resources, security servers, next-proxy... all of this stuff seems
very confusing, and I think the manual makes it more confusing. Is
Checkpoint like MS in that they make their manuals bad on purpose to
sell commercial books and/or certification courses?

All I am trying to do -- set up a transparent http (or ftp and https if
possible) proxy to connect my users to the net. Right now their default
gateway is the FW-1.

I am wondering if I can transparently proxy their http connections to a
non-CVP proxy I have... Anyone wanna throw me a bone? Where do I
start? URI resources? somewhere else? I'm on 4.1 SP2, single gateway.

TiA...

Cheers,
John
