This may prove useful for me also.... are there any side affects of running
multiple http daemons?

In the fwauthd.conf there's a line with something like
80 in.ahttpd wait 0
change it to
80 in.ahttpd wait -8 0
this wil start 8 daemons.
after changing the fwauthd.conf you have to restart the firewall.
