Subject: [FW1] Nokia static route problem with rfc 1918 (private address space u sing 192.168.1.x)I recently purchased two Nokia 440's and am in the process of configuring them using static routing.
I have tried to enter the following static route in the box using Voyager:
New static route 204.79.199.0 Mask length 24 Next hop type: Normal Gateway: 192.168.142.6
And I get the error: Invalid IP Address 192.168.142.6
Invalid IP Address 204.79.199.0One of my interfaces has the addressing of 192.168.142.0/29 which means that all hosts between .1 and .6 are valid and the gateway of 192.168.142.6 is a valid gateway.
Why? My current Solaris box certian access this static route? Why can't this box accept static routes using RFC 1918 addressing?
