Personally from what I have seen with ours, I would not go with a CVP solution that uses Firewall-1. Firewall-1 screams at lower layer filtering with respect to networks, hosts and overall services. But when it digs into URL's, web access slows. I have tried out XSTOP's database before and it matches websense as far as I could tell. And now, XSTOP makes filter appliances they claim that don't drop throughput of your web surfers and don't require any network changes. If I could personally change off of CVP filtering, I would get one of these appliances in on a trial basis to look at.

I am trying to select a URL Filtering package for our FW. Any suggestions or comments on packages. I saw some bashing about Websense and problems people were having with that package. Any other comments about that or other packages??

Thanks,

John Neville
