Once a week I check the size. Once they reach 500MB, I do a File New Log. I
then zip the files and move them to an archival area on a different server.
My current log name is fw.log10. Is there a limit of 10 or something along
those lines??

To give you an advice we need more details. I usually don't wait until my
log file will reach some certain size. Based on statistics I switch large
logs several times a day saving them to a zipped file (appending to each
other during a day, but this is optional).

When my log files reach a certain size, I perform a New Log function which
is supposed to stop logging to the current file, dump its contents to a
saved file with todays date, then start a new log file. This has worked
flawlessly for the last several months, until today. Any ideas.....?
